Archaeology in the Median Strip

Never my favorite setting for archaeology, but this road wasn't as busy as some I've worked by, and we had some trees for partial shade. After listening to honking horns all day and the occasional screeching brakes, I can also attest that the new merge lane planned for this location is sorely needed.

And we uncovered these impressive foundations, from a mill built in the 1780s.
